Truck wind deflectors

Anyone run one of these on the top of their truck? My 3500 has been having a hard time dealing with full loads and the bigger chipper. There seems to be two types, concave and convexe. Any brands or recommandations?

What's it for?

To deflect the wind so it doesn't hit a flat surface, most of the time, a trailer, but in our case, a dump box. It's supposed to save you on fuel but that's not my main concern. I just want the truck to pull beter.

We call em duck killers up here. Lots of people use them on their semi tractors and report big savings in fuel. Should work I reckon.

I've heard they are useless under a certain speed. For more power maybe a different ring and pinion?

Yah I was thinking it wouldn't make a noticeable difference in grunt.

My thoughts were that the wing would be a benefit at highway speeds, but wind resistance isn't the issue on getting up and moving. It's a chip truck, not a dragster. In the application of a chip truck, getting power to the ground will go a lot farther then wind deflection issues that are inconsequential until you get up to speeds that chip trucks shouldn't go at.
