I have a older Forrester bar on a 254xp, no issues, it was made by Windsor.
Those days are gone, everything they market now is pure Chineeseium...

They get none of my money.

If Forrester was purchased by Windsor, then it is now owned by Oregon because Oregon bought Windsor a while back.

To my knowledge, whoever owns Forrester sources their products from anyone cheap.
My bar is 10 years old.
Baileys was sourcing their Arbor pro bars from China about the same time. Bought 2, sprocket tip went out in 1, the other was cheap laminated steel, welds came apart. Neither made it thru 2 seasons of firewood.
That was the end of cheap bars for me.....only OEM on Stihl, currently Tsumura or OEM on Huskys.
I do have a 36" Grandberg Titanium for Stihls, not a lot of use but other than heavy, I like it. Don't think they are imported anymore.

I use WoodlandPro bars on my small saws, and I love them. Much better than the stock bars they come with. Broader nose, and at least as durable as the bottom end Oregon(?) bars they shipped with. Last time I ordered, they were advertised as Taiwan made with Swiss bearings. I suppose that's always subject to change with contract products.
