For me personally here after listening to the host list ... I'm a little relieved. The Pitch Pine are all closer to the Ocean from here (though after Hurricane Bob on the Cape we cut a bit of it) , Jack Pine does grow here but never generates much work or any timber , Red Pine does grow here and does generate a little work now and again plus the logs can be sold. If what the video said is true , the White Pines are safe ... right ?

Afterthoughts , wasn't downing the three hosts compared to Strobus as they all have attributes ... in the days of Sail you sure needed Pitch , Utility Poles are handy , Jack's have a great survival reforestation thing going (Cones put near the woodstove are a great parlor trick)
