The better kimchi has fermenting squid in it, which has a rather pervasive smell.

I have some Korean friends, and they HAVE to have it every day....it just sits on the table permananetly. The whole house has the aroma.

I'm not especialy fond of it myself ,I can tolerate it though .

I once had a lady friend that consumed it like it were fine caviar or something .I had to eat a little of it myself out of self defense .

Without any specific details or TMI it must have raised her body temp or something .About like kissing a volcano .
