Al, the chain to which you refer is called 'semi-skip'. In fact that is the style chain that came with my new saw today. cutter-driver-cutter-driver-driver then repeat.
Didnt you run a chain backward on one of your "bigger" saws in Buckley a few years ago?Just a side note but I usually put on the Art Martin chain on backwards, it seems almost as fast as the other way.

Well,nice thought but about half of us can't follow the link for obvious reasons .Of interest is this old AS thread where Art chimed in and described his full house chain-a cutter every drive link--....which, by the way, is used by firefighters.....

Ok brain lapse on my part.Hey Brian !!! that was Sonny Frick and his partner on thier double ender hotsaws, not mine. I have owned that series for a long time except for last year when I blew a chain off . We did it with an 088 kd and a ms460 woods mod angainst pairs of piped 090's.
