recal ..yale flip lines

Yale cordage...
5/8 wire rope lanyards, the rivet on the secondary safety wears off and allows the gate to open.
I cant find my recall notice here, i got a 20' er that they want to replace,
there is a # on the snap...i cant for the life of me find the damn notice...maybe Bounce could help us out here.

one of my yale flip lines did that so just cut it off and replaced it with another snap

I just talked to my Yale rep about this. The problem only related to 5/8" maxi flips with the non-swivel snap. And even then it only relates to the new style rope clip that has the higher gate-face strength to meet the new fall protection standards. Apparently there is a pin that holds the double-locking mechanism on the back of the snap which is wearing out rather quickly, causing the locking mechanism to not work properly. If you got a flipline from Wesspur then you're in the clear because we asked not to get these new style of snaps (they have a pin on the nose that gets hung up on the d-ring when unclipping).

Those snaps were terrible I hated them with a firey passion. I'm gonna see if I can get a free one even though it's kinda retired due to sappiness.

This is one of those "good" recalls it looks like. The kind where there isn't a prob if you don't see one.

Sometimes I read the ones at department store where things can fail without warning...yikes. At least this one, you know if something is wrong.

the number is on the snap gate itself
its a 3.6M gate...if ya have one...return it for a freebie.
