Ha, what fun a cross pond 'discussion' on the ID of Sycamore!

The grey cells are regenerating, not long after my last post I remembered A. platanoides was Norway Maple...about an hour down the highway driving at 110 kph (wheee...such fun when I'm used to 45kph!) So the Sycamore I mean is A. pseudoplatanus, has red petioles...
I do know its not the sneezy one! Even in Bermuda we have some very large London planes, I know what they look like.

I've been felling Acer Pseudoplatanus in a forest right next to the entrance road to a major Castle today. Pretty tricky, because the hingewood in those will break real easily.
I almost lost one into the road , but it got tangled up in another tree and turned aside. Had a bit of fast heartrate for a moment.
Should have set a line, but I'm falling to scale, so no time for the fancy stuff.
