You guys crack me up. Sorry, I had to go eat dinner. I'm selling some old coins

I've sold two so far, for a little more than I expected.

I've got so much junk that I pick up from goodwill, I've GOT to start selling.

I hate giving out my Visa number though. Do you still have to, to be able to sell?

When I was a kid, my dad had a big coin collection. His pride of the collection was a 1934s (I think) silver dollar in uncirculated condition. It was worth several thousand dollars at that time (around 1980), but later his entire collection was stolen in a break-in while we were out of state on vacation. The 2-3 times he was robbed during my youth were all assumed to be done by his employees or ex employees, I don't think they were ever caught.

I'm in the process of getting rid of EVERYTHING I don't need and have accumulated over the years. I just throw the shit away.

I love when people put good shit out for free. Last year I found a wheel to measure distance($140) and a nice skill saw at the same place.

Put the stuff out a couple days before garbage day and I bet not much will be left for the garbage man.

I coulda had a helluva garage sale, but I didn't want to bother with it. Out with the old!

I remember throwing my mother's yearbooks away, a weird feeling. Those meant something only to her, not me. Just like someday someones gonna throw MY sentimental stuff away, and I'll fade into the past.

Well now they say a measurement of somebodies true net worth is how many days it takes to hold the auction after they have passed on .:)

Bring the usable stuff to Goodwill.....deduct what you'd pay for it at their store if you buy it or what you consider its fair worth. You'll get a break on taxes if you itemize, and someone else will get the use of a new 'treasure'.

I do a donation run about three times a year. Makes a difference.

Craig's List.

eBay

Curb side removal before trash pickup.

etc.

People buy yearbooks on eBay....just search on your school/year.

They're mostly copper, really. With some silver, not sure of the percentages. I do it mostly because its a lot of fun, and I've got a bunch of these coins just sitting in the safe.
