I run a 12" bar with 3/8p chain. I use the light still bar. Anyone prone to trapping the saw then the solid heavier bar is more durable.
If I have to cut bigger then the ms261 or ms362 come in. If you are cutting in to wood big enough for a 14" bar then a climbing saw is for me the last saw to use.
