Anyone in the Treehouse ever try these? Just got a pair for the wife. They introduce instability into walking, and good health benefits to be derived from how the body responds, so they say.

Weird. guess its the same principle as lifting weights on squishy foam to promote balance and strengthen support tendons

Wow, those are odd like those Earth shoes thirty years ago. Why did your wife want them? What's her opinion?

I dunno exactly, she read about them somewhere. They just arrived today, and her first response was, "These make me feel seasick" Then she said that they were cool, after skipping around a bit on them.

Reading about them is pretty interesting, based on the Masai people walking barefoot on uneven ground in Africa, they say. Yeah, supposed to be very good for musculature, balance, and posture. I gave the website for them with my first post, they give a big explanation. She got the sandal type, not the tennis shoes. Kind of small for me, but I tried them, and it felt like walking on a pile of squishy bananas....strange.

Very positive feedback on these shoes from the lady of the house. It took a couple days of her evening walks to get used to them, but she says that they are great. Her lower extremities are getting a workout, and notices the support for better posture. That's what the literature says on them too. Regular shoes seem stiff and unresponsive to her now. Fun to wear, she says.

Got home a little early today and joined her for her walk. I could barely keep up, the way she was bouncing along. I said I was tired ;)
