Anybody tried high tensioning Amsteel Blue (slick) with a hitch-attached MA system?

Wondering about the load at which it will slip, and if it will melt the fibers at all.

How much tension do you need? A vt works well.

If you don't have to advance the MA, use a porty for your MA anchor.

Just wondering, theoretically.

Maybe with enough wraps, you can grip anything. Dunno. May not really need to be too much, just never tried, so was looking for others' experience.

Usually our Amsteel MA system is a diesel powered International, but there could be times where we might want to have the strength of the Amsteel, over our 5/8" double braid for a 90* to the lay retainer line to compensate for a heavy side lean and rotten hinge.
