Is it possible to bend the bar used to tighten the strap? We have never used a cheater bar or anything. The most force we have applied has been when the two of us pushed together on it and that was even on snowy, steep ground. If you look at the bar you can easily see a sweep in it and I am concerned that it will get worse and possibly break on us... maybe causing an injury.

I cannot imagine that bar bending, unless you guys are monsters. Those are used by the trucking industry to tighten loads for traveling. I've seen people use pipes over it to gain more leverage.

Well, I am pretty monsterous. After all, I pick things up....

We regularly bounce on it with 2 people, I like the strap to play music, no sign of bendage

I am wondering if anybody has found any drawbacks to the GRCS? I know it is not meant for massive loading but just asking.

The Goods rule to remember, similar to the last cut rule, ALWAYS WRAP THE ROPE THIS WAY!!!!
Side pulling never seems to work for me. Always go top block and top fair lead.
Watch the rope hockling, some ropes worse than others.
1/2'' double braid eye splice wiht stilson hitch was torn apart.
Ripped the cover off a 9/16" double braid dyneema core, so don't use mechanical prussik
Had a big 1/2 breed German/britt snap the handle off the spinner
Fairleads need extra weld/gusset
When placing it on smaller trees put the bollard or winch in first berfore cranking the harness up tight.
used it today to pull out Red from a white oak and it tore off the limb hangin it up about10" diameter. Beastly!
