How to fix 661 stripped bar stud

Just fixed a stripped out hole on another 034 I picked up. Had to clean all the JB weld out with a tap. Guess that was the old owner's attempt at a fix. Stuck a 3/8 helicoil in there, and a smaller bar stud made for the small homeowner saws fit perfectly. Feels good and snug, I think it'll be fine now.

Wow, nice job, Jonny! It's great that you have the tools and the knowledge to get a limping saw back running again. I assume that this ability means that you are able to get the saws at a relatively bargain price from the folks that are not so capable.

It is embarrassing to admit this, but I don't think I've ever even seen a helicoil, much less used one. Congratulations again on the newly running saw.
