Saw this at a garage sale last weekend. Not that I was going to buy it, but I was just curious about the age of it and if the price was in the ballpark. It had a 30" bar on it.
These series of Homelites were the last of the poplar North American built pro saws before the European models started becoming poplar for pro use around 1970. Homelite introduced this XL design in 1964, turning the chainsaw industry on its ear.Saw this at a garage sale last weekend. If you mean the Homie 925, yes there is more XL series saws out there then any other model of saw. Thats why they don't get a good price, no problem finding parts for them too. Homelite sold millions of those XL series saws.I saw the same model at a sale here for $25.
