Can anyone throw some light on this question? I cant find the original chain, I only use this bar every 2 years or so, I'm stuck right now. Thanks!

You are the MAN, cut4fun, thankyou so much for the help!

That is correct, but depending on the manufacture of the bar the number of drivers can still be one or two more or less. It always 'F' with me when I bought a different brand bar. Though same in length by manufacture's specs the number of drive links was not always the same. for the most part I stuck with Oregon bars.

With that said I'll add, I was a staunch Sthil man during my career, and the dealers would not sell me a saw without the bar included. Luckily the Sthil bars matched the Oregon in the number of drivers for a given bars length. But Canon and Windsor bars was another thing.

I'll bet Willard can clarify further on all that.

Isn't the picture of you, Gerr, in the rotator, kneeling by a beauty of a low-cut ,Humboldted redwood stump, with a Husky?
