Just curious, except for the biners you use for your attachments, how many do you carry on your gear loops?

I think I carry too many....lol I never use even close to all of them on a climb.;)

that is spartan...:) and probably a lot lighter.:)

if you need them, you just have them sent up Butch?

just ropes eh? trad to the core....lol :)

since I tend to single line everything these days , I'll have an extra sling girthed to a rope snap for unforseen needs.... it;s quite versatile as a tie-in , safety extender , quick loop for a foothold ect. Sometimes I'll girth a ring to the other end making it a retrievable friction saver as well ... Dave

I do a lot of SRT like Dave. So I have 4 with a sling. Then two go to the DdRT once in the tree. Other two are for the extra tie in or redirect and or the fig 8. All else gets sent up

I cannot stand packking one more thing on my saddle than I will use in the tree I am going up at that time.

Any time I see some one decked with a bunch of jingly jangle bling, hanging from a brand new, most recent model saddle, Im thinking "They wanna be a Cowboy" or they are selling stuff.

There is a method to this Tree Work thing.

Spend time watching some one who loves it & he will do a lot with little & hardly work doing it!

Two here usually. One on my fig 8 and one as an extra for whatever. Usually use it to double crotch, as I only have one small ring on my bridge.

One on my F8, one with a micro-pulley for controlled speedlining...four non-locking w/loop runners if I'm speedlining light stuff. Having worked alone so much, I'm in the habit of carrying way too much up the tree. I have carried a medium port-a-wrap throughout an entire climb without once using it. I ususally hang the excess gear somewhere in the tree, though.

I carry 2 - 1 on my fig 8, 1 on a webbing loop. I like my fig 8 biner to be an HMS, so I can use a munter hitch if I need to.

I always keep one or two extra biners on my saddle. One of them is an HMS and the other is attached to a loop runner which serves many functions.
