Nah. It was $100 worth of leads and they would have kept recharging my card when the $100 is up.

My experience with Home Advisor was horrible, very similar to what Nick shared. They told my partner we'd be able to sort the leads based on the job description the home owner provided, paying only for the ones that looked promising and we wanted to pursue. That was total bullshit. We got charged for leads we didn't pursue based on this assurance and HA didn't feel inclined to refund us or make amends some other way. Canceling was nearly impossible and they still hound us. I would avoid it unless you are able/willing to slog through a bunch of garbage looking for the rare treasure (to be fair we did get a couple of good jobs from HA).

Spend a hundred a month with a good Web person you can meet.

We're doing well with Ad words now. I think we'll be following that advice sometime after our taxes get sorted.
