I mentioned in the other thread how Dave kindly came across the state with his stump grinder and helped clean up the day camp grounds before my parents memorial. (The local rental centers had toy grinders - they said they got rid of the larger stumpers as customers were ‘afraid’ of them!!?!!)
Dave wouldn’t accept any $$ for his eight hours of driving and use of his truck and stumper, so I had to send him into the camp building for a bag of homemade cookies for his drive home so I could sneak the money into the glovebox of his truck.
He was as my Mom would say: ‘kindness personified’.
Sad to hear of Fiddler's passing. Was always more than willing to help members and offer advice to newcomers. Glad to hear that he had the love and support right up until the end, a true ledgend
