Fagus Grandifolia Problem?

While doing deadwooding a fagus grandifolia, one of many, I came across two crossing branches, about 30 ft. up (pic below) ... any advice about what how it should be treated - if at all?

At this stage of the game leaving it alone is the only option. IMO

...I'd leave it as well ...Beech grafts pretty good anyways in those situations ...

They are codominant, yes? I wouldn't remove one, but I would definitely subordinate (or reduce) it and consider it a candidate for a cable in the future. Also, beech is thin barked...consider cambium saver.
