Since he's choosing this for himself rather than being forced, I'd tend to think it's a good thing for him eh?

A change every now and again can be quite exciting.

Carl is correct ya'll.

Im not being forced into anything here. This is my choice, which I have been considering for quite a long time.

I am passionate about trees and treework, but have grown to hate so many of the other aspects of running a business.

I have thought long and hard about this and am actually looking forward to it.

I can understand, John. I also dislike most aspects of the business. But I have found a way to specialize in the parts that I enjoy by subcontracting to the guys doing all the crap that I dislike. Hopefully you can figure out how to make good money by focusing on the stuff you enjoy.
:)

John and I talked about it back in 06 when I was up there and again this morning.

I'd say he's considered all the angles. :)

Sorry to hear your going ground bound John. I whish you all the best with whatever choices you make for yourself!!!

Considering myself a friend, in an on-line sort of way, I feel it is time to insult you and cajole you into staying with the group.

Hey man, your not wussing out on us are you? Come on you can't give this up. What are you going to do, take an office job with a bunch of girlie college grads?

Now now, don't get mean. :)
He won the lottery but it is only so much so now he is selling his equipment.

....or he got a gig as a backstage porn movie worker, and has to keep it hush hush so his family won't find out

Its too early to say where Im going.... but I will fill you in when I can. FWIW- I plan on staying in the industry.

No, because you behaved like an oxymoron. You said you were getting out, then you said you were staying in.

Oxymoron. :drink:

Getting out of my company, staying in the industry.

I should have been more clear.

I prefer enigma, I like to keep everyone wondering WTF is he doing?
