Nice work. Looks different from what we call a poplar here(Liriodendron tulipifera). Are they very smooth barked, or had most of it shed? My eyes aren't best, but it looked like bug galleries on bare sapwood. Nasty looking tree.

That's his easy off daisy chain knot... pretty cool rigging knot imo...
