Carrie Fisher

Thanks! I don't know too many women who have maintained hotness into their 50's. Celebrities have to incorporate whatever it takes into their lives. Men too.

There are lots of reason why people suddenly put weight on and it's a LOT harder to get it back off once they do... kinda like going into debt.

Discipline is easier when you don't have many external stressors. Star types have major stress from all sorts of places... always expected to be what they were instead of who they are... I couldn't handle it if it was me.

I don't fault her because I have clue why. She really was smokin' hot though.

As for discipline... sometimes I have it, sometimes I don't. It was easy when I was young, now it depends more on what else is going on at the time. I lose it pretty often, not with food and exercise so much... but my house is a wreck, my car needs work and my grass is 4' high in the back yard... and I still haven't fixed the flying 2ooT.

I bulked too much. Hitting the gym with the sole purpose of gaining "mass" is where I've been the last several years. Not porking out, but not being thin. I eat very good, I just eat in volume and 100% of my exercise is lifting with basically no cardio pursuant to cutting.

Now I want to lean down some. I'm down 17 lbs in the last month.

But we were talking about-

FWIW-Alot of women have weight issues that have nothing to do with how much they eat. Just because someone is overweight doesnt mean they've "let themselves go".

Ya think?
My wife has weight issues. She exercises regularly and watches what and how much she eats. I feel badly for her because I sometimes think she must be starving when I see how little she will eat, because she wants to control her weight, but its a constant uphill battle for her. She by no means has let herself go. But yet she is overweight. Hyperthyroid.

I guess she's pulled the wool over my eyes and all the effort I see her make is an illusion.

I would guess yes, because shes been struggling since then with it.

It was very hard for my wife to get off her pregnancy weight. It took her years of eating right and going to the gym.

My wife manages the personal training department at a all women's gym. There's a whole lot of issues surrounding weight. Espescially for women.

I like these.

Katy is struggling a little right now. Third baby (Lilly) is giving her the issue of losing the weight. The C sect has added scarring that is painful and hinders her exercising as much as she used to due to the pain. We are looking into options. And yes.. she watches her diet. So not everyone is a slacker and can't drop the weight. :P

Far as I am concerned she is fine too ;)
She just has a bit of a tummy from the last kiddo is all...
I am more concerned about the scar tissue giving her pain.. Sux :(

I cant complain, after I got engaged to my lovely she dropped near 30 pounds before the wedding, just cut out beer and bad snacks. after Bub was born she was back to sensible eating etc, 6 months after baby she was back to pre baby size, good for her! I havent dropped my baby weight yet... :/:

lol....WTG Butch...I like my women not fat, not boy-skinny, but lookin' like women :) :P:P

18 years after my section, my scar STILL hurts! Some of the problem may be adhesions, and there's not alot you can do about that without causing more of the same. Good luck to her, wish I had some good advice.

Nice to hear some comments about women's weight from men who are talking about REAL women. Not chicks in mags, or celebrities.

I just lost about fifteen pounds. Easy. Nothing to it. I count what goes in (I have an excel program that does it for me.) As long as it matches what goes out, there's no problem. Since I'm kinda slow right now (bad ankle) it would have been even easier if I could have worked hard physically.

BUT.

BUT

It took me about three years to get in that frame of mind, again.

I've been watching my weight since I was 13. Up and down, up and down....usually around 10 pounds. At the time, if I wanted to lose weight, I would eat 800 calories. That's what it took.

When women age, have kids, etc. their metabolism changes. Their hormones change. Hell, even my FEET changed due to hormones, I went up a whole shoe size due to length! I tried to diet like I did, felt sicker than a dog....very discouraging. I like to work hard, can't do that when you are essentially starving yourself. Finally I found out what worked for ME.

oops....got an order to get out.....to be continued......

Nah, 80 minutes a day on mine's plenty enough.

Congrats on your weight loss, Che!
