I wonder how they get blue naturally? That's an especially rare color in nature.

Two of my daughter's are getting married next year. (That'll be four down, only two more to go after that!)
One of them sent me a pic of the wedding cake they've decided on.
What do you think? I love it! It will have their names on it. I thought maybe a little chainsaw or an axe on top might be a nice touch.

Apparently, she changed her mind about the tree cake. It was totally different and much more traditional. But she did have these cool place holders at everyone's table...

Started late this year, and still trying to get adjusted to the new stove (old house was electric and quasi-convection, making baking a snap; new one is gas). Still got a few batches to go.

I can deal with mix/matching oven heat styles, but stovetop, it's gotta be gas. I've spent most of my life with gas, and I have a hard time *intuiting* electric.

Coincidentally I was called behind the counter at a local bakery the other day, to witness someone's memorial cake of all things... here's the photo I took to make her happy...

Made me feel really weird, but she was obviously very proud of it.
