I don't understand. What's the problem?

Sorry, I was a tad harsh in my previous post. Brian says it well in this post:

Every day there are new kids coming online that think they can make a fortune by collecting email addresses and selling them to spammers (multi marketing specialists). Many forums do not allow visitors to see email addresses of members, but some allow their members to view email addresses of other members. Therefore you will always have a small but steady stream of new 'members' who have no intention of doing anything but attempting to harvest email addresses of members. The fact that vBulletin forums don't allow that information to be shared is irrelevent, those kids don't know that until after they try it a few times.

There is no good reason to even allow these kids to complete their registration. They have no intention of ever participating.

swing that hammer man!!

it bugs me sometimes when people dont post thier location (or at least somewhat close) then go asking about regional stuff. I dont care to know your mailing address, but at least put up your state.

If they dont fill out the profile, deny thy app.

Lets face it - this is the internet and the only way anyone has any way of getting to know anybody is through the printed word.

It's merely being polite/civilized to provide at least the bare minimum on your profile. To leave it blank is like a slap in the face, so to speak.

I would never have guessed all you chainsaw slinging maniacs were so tech savvy? If it wasn't for Skwerl cluing me in, I'd still be scratching my head on this one.

seems like 'he' woulda jumped in by now.

Butch's troll radar must be working just fine.

There are still weird things happening neuropathy-wise, but every day it diminishes.

I'm way more worried about Jerry B's crushed dog.

OkieTree Dude,

Are you close to "Butcher's Pen" OK, By chance?

My grandpa owned some land out there, I'd visit and mow the lawn with the riding mower.

:)

I was thinking about my foot issue this morning at about 0400, I wrecked my plantar fascia about 2 years ago in my left foot (a stupid trip and fall thing, sheesh), took a full year to feel sorta normal again, I still get a night or two a week that I wake up and my under arch is throbbing sore. I hope it goes away some more as time goes along. sigh. Still not near the same as crushing like the two hard core climbers on this board experienced of course, but its one of my laments.
