I used to wear dickies pants. I guess I stopped, but for no reason. This year I am going to get some.

I like a down vest for working. Torso kept warm with my arms not encumbered or hot, seems to work well. Easy on and off too, as the situation changes. My down vest looks like my chaps now. :|: During a break and lunch, I often put on a heavier jacket.

I don't mind the dickies, I just like tan which you cant get around here from what I noticed. I always wore carhartt pants, but they would fall off at the end of the day and be stiff as hell in the morning. I have two pair of arborwear techs I wear all the time. I just like the fit. I'm not really loyal to all their stuff though, as it gets pricey even with corp discounts.

People often ask me to take them to the states. I really hope to one day, some good buddies. National parks are what I have in mind, maybe Las Vegas...? Wonder if Wally World should be on the list? Never have been to one myself. I guess it is a slice of America, but whether it is worth being visited by tourists? Is it like K mart? I wouldn't want to take them to a place where people get in fights, or women with huge breasts wear tee shirts with nasty slogans. I might want to see that myself, though. ::D

I have a hoodie but at the price it cost im not wearing it to work until it has some wear but it is awesome. No complaint with the tech pants although my dickies and carhartts are still holding strong.

I finally wore out my Tech Pants, after about 6 years or so, I really liked them for the hot weather work, and I like the cargo pockets that I can still get to even when wearing a harness, I stuff slings in them, not to mention the cellphone pocket inside the right cargo pocket, keeps it secure and chip free.
In the cooler climate the regular pants are fine, and a bit cheaper too.
In Oz, Hard Yakka makes great work wear.

Jay, Walmart is just like a kmart. More stuff I suppose. It's not worth visiting unless you need to buy stuff.

Ok, thanks. Like K mart you say.....guess I can live without anymore blue light specials and that popcorn smell.

I go there maybe 2x/ year. Last time, I bought a decent jack knife for like 2 bucks. Couldn't pass it up

I had a double thick Arborwear Hoodie that I loved. It was perfect for our hikes in the woods in the winter. I wore it to the pub one day, got too hot and took it off and slung it over the back of a chair and some creep took off with it. Still miss that hoodie.

Yeah , it's sure a bummer to get a valued article of clothing stolen. i had a lined jean jacket that a good friend replaced the collar on by sewing in another one out of a nice corduroy material. A seamstress, she did a real nice job. i was dozing on a train with it in the rack above. The guy sitting behind me got up and walked out with it at a stop prior to mine, put it on under his own coat. I was half asleep, got the vibes and his movements, but it didn't register enough until i went to get off myself. I loved that jacket, it had sentimental value....oh well...

I did Butch. When I was a 20 I lived in a so so neighborhood in a house divided into 4 apartments with individual outdoor entrances. I was across the street chatting with a neighbor and watched a guy go onto my porch and steal my leaf blower.

I did too!

I was at the library, looked out the window and saw a guy "break" into my car ( "" are because it was a Citroen Mehari ( Google it!) and you can't really call that breaking in). I set a new olympic record for the 400 meter , leaving several stunned librarians in my wake, grabbed the guy and did a lovely take down on him.
Turned out to be a junkie in the absolute last stage of his existence. Just frigging pitifull! Even after I'd pulled him out of the car and put him on the ground, he denied any participation in the break in. Just whined and cried.

So I told him to target BMW and Mercedes in the future and let him stagger off.

A week later my only failure of an apprentice had the same thing happen, except he was looking out his apartment window, and the two guys stealing his car radio scared him away by threatening him with a screwdriver.

Why doesn't stuff like that never happen to me?

Same thing Stig. The guy was a crack junkie. He acted confused and insulted when I first approached him. He acted like I was the bad guy. He had no clue that I was the owner of the leaf blower. Told me to get lost because that was his friends apartment and he was welcome to use his friends stuff.
