I have a real high arch, Al....I don't know if that makes it better or worse.
My ex did too Che .She experianced different problems than myself , me having feet flat as the top of a pool table .I have steel arch supports as I have no arch to speak off thus I know what it does to bodily alignment first hand .

No, I hit with the full force of my weight.

I can wear the heels off of a boot in 2 or 3 months.

Those expensive orthopedic inserts might help that.

Leon, thanks....but I think I'm good. I'm amazed at how much different it feels today. I've just gone into granny gear and not at a run....paperwork, errands, housework....nothing extremely physical....good shoes on all day.

I have terrible foot problems. Bi weekly shots, ect.

So, you're saying your foot problems are worse than Beranek's and mine? And you've found a cure with injections?

Do go on. What are they injecting into you? The only thing that works for me is whiskey. :(

I going to tell you if you have screwed up feet your whole body is out of wack . An injury certainly doesn't help a bit either ,just makes things worse .

It sucks but you just have to deal with it best as you can . The inserts help me but I don't know if it's a magic cure all for everyone .

You can buy false teeth, hearing aids and glasses but I don't know of any fix for a foot or two .

Glad to hear it's getting better already Che. The trick now is to make yourself wait that one or two extra days beyond when you think it's time to go back to work. Reinjury is way worse than the first time around.

I wore the inserts for a couple years....maybe. The bout with plantar fasciitis really made a believer out of me. I had to quit wearing my cheap muck boots, and my wonderful (but non supportive) LLBeans duck boot clogs. Lots of $$$ into foot wear after that.

Personally, I think this new thing is just a product of aging. I'm going to have to learn not to jump right into activities without some preparation. FOR INSTANCE....it's about time to start cutting some firewood, and if I'm not careful and take it slow at first, it will HURT.

It's worth taking the time to learn a good stretching/excercise routine and do that EVERY morning. It will make a good difference.

I think we used to have a thread about that. Good suggestion....for everyone, really.

No, I did not say that:roll: I have not had a crushing injury.

I have plantar faciitus, I get cortisone shots every other week and have the casted inserts and all.

A few years ago the gout showed up in my feet (and has since spread to other joints) So I am pretty much in constant foot pain except for the 2 or 3 days immediately after a shot.

Does having gout mean you may be diabetic?
And don't diabetics often get neuropathy?

My friend has neuropathy. very very painful. Drugs are his only (unwilling) choice.

The juice of the bitter black cherry will most likely fix thine foot my good man .Medical science does not know why but it works and I'm a living testement to that very fact .

Try it,about a 4 ounce slug of it,tastes about like alum but you can handle it .A couple bucks a jug ,a lot better than getting hypoed in the foot I would say .

Now then,Lady Ches' high arch .

Nothing sexist is intended by this observation .Most women with high arches have very good legs .However they often suffer from problems of so called planters warts ,my ex had same .

In her case she also loved her high heels being somewhat of a debutant .In later life it came back to haunt her with foot problems .

Now in the case of working on the farm of course you can't be trapesing around in high heels .

I dunno maybe a trip to a specialist type shoe store could bring some relief .A couple hundred for a pair of sturdy shoes sure beats going to the doc and having sore feet all the time .--and yes,a little age doesn't help things one little iota .

My wife complained of aching feet .Off to the Redwing store and I got her a pair of soft tie ups which she hated .Funny after a while she wore them, ugly or not because her feet felt better .

You got that right, beer doesn't help a bit .They used to call gout the rich mans disease because of the rich foods and meats which cause the uric acid which causes the gout.

Soo if you take a nip of whiskey just cut it with black cherry juice, good to go .

I had plantar facitias and I got some inserts for my shoes, lost 20 pounds, took celebrex, and quit jumping down from tractors.

I was discouraged this morning, but since I haven't been 100% on the regular Vitamin I plus ice, figured I'd give it an all out effort....really helped, as did some new inserts for my shoes that raise my heel slightly. BUT....I haven't been doing much off the flat.

My husband called, he was stuck on the far end of the farm with a flat tractor tire and needed the converter and air compressor. Walked around a little while he was trying to pump up the tire, slowly down a bit of an embankment and everything....seemed alot better!!! Hooray, hooray!

On the way back (tire was DOA) I got out of the truck to get back into the drivers seat and WHAM, felt just like it did before this day of being so good.

I am such a bad, IMPATIENT patient. I want to move fast, without thought, and in ALL directions!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! :whine: :whine: :whine:

OK

Thank-you

I feel some better.

:)
