    How'd it go today?

I must be old fashioned. All I need is that first sip of a cold beer after getting home to send me into paradise. A quarter of the can goes to my wife and son each and I only have one, so the habit can't be too bad.

    How'd it go today?

Time to go home should never be a bell, it would suck if you are in the middle of something requiring concentration. Have to go rip it off the wall or something. I guess you could drop it off in the office on your way out.

    How'd it go today?

With lots of rain this year, a bad time of year for mosquitos in the woods. Tiger balm works real good to stop itching after a bite, by the way. I keep a little jar of it by my bed.

    How'd it go today?

When I worked at a gas station, a guy on a bike waiting at the light at the intersection right in front got run over from behind. The car must have slowed down because it didn't throw him ahead, just rolled right on top of him and his bike somehow. Judging by in how loud a voice he was...

I'd be very hesitant to raise a child near railroad tracks still in use. My own experience when growing up and sometimes things I hear on the news. Lots of people in these parts live right on top of them with trains running all day and into the night. Every time I heard a train coming if I...

    How'd it go today?

Working in 90% humidity is only for people that were born in such a place and have gotten used to it. I tried once as an outsider, it wasn't just being uncomfortable from the heat, my lungs felt like they were getting real messed up and I developed a persistent cough. Giant centipedes and all...

Fireworks is big. There are some places that put on amazing shows, trying to outdo each other. Good for business too, in larger towns all the hotels get booked up and the food concessions and whatnot. People come from a long distance to check it out, the roads and trains are packed. A room...

Last night a friend if mine had his annual lots of friends party too coincide with the big fireworks show that the municipality puts on. He lives in front of the river where they hold the event, close enough where you can sometimes feel some blast of air on your face from the shockwaves. The...

People wear or carry "weapons" all the time. Ladies in high heels if grabbed from behind...your car or house keys can do a nice job if dragged across someone's face. Ladies walking to their cars, holding their keys in a certain way is something to keep in mind.

I'd take someone up a tree for good cheese, a piece big enough to last some weeks.
