    If mud is that big an issue, you can always rig up a 50’ (or so) piece of cable to use “in the muck”, while using rope/blocks to do the actual rigging/pulling. Initial post mentioned a 200’ piece of cable, which I’d do a lot to get out of handling.

    From what I see, the tensile strength of 1/2" cable is around 22k#. The tensile of 3/4" Stable Braid is a shade over 20k#. I'd lean more toward getting a 200' hank of that, and use whatever blocks were necessary to facilitate their use based on scenario. Far more manageable, usable in tree...
