    The Bamboo Thread - resurrected

Believe it or not, it doesn't seem to hurt them much. There are some down in the woods that you can hardly see the tree's leaves for the kudzu, and yet they live on. That tree has looked like that for years. Wisteria, on the other hand, seems to be worse on the tree. There is a big water oak in...

    The Bamboo Thread - resurrected

Why Jay, you don't know what you're missing. I'll just have to send you some. No worries, you can thank me later.:D Here is a Wiki link pertaining to it....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudzu. I read that it's somewhat native to Japan, actually. These pics were taken a few minutes ago, across...

    The Bamboo Thread - resurrected

He cuts bamboo poles every year or so, as the old ones begin to break down. About 20 minutes after I set the fire, it sounded like a young war out...

    The Bamboo Thread - resurrected

I told my dad I was going to start me a patch and he asked, "Why? The stuff is taking over here as it is..." It is very invasive, and spreads like kudzu, if that means anything to you. It got across a road that runs around my dad's yard (down to his uncle's pasture) and is now spreading down...

    The Bamboo Thread - resurrected

Bamboo! What fun! I just got through helping my 7-year-old build a teepee out of some bamboo poles I cut over at my dad's. She's having a blast right now. Back in 1990, we had to cut a patch of bamboo while doing line clearance. I put on a pair of hooks and climbed up a stick of it that was at...
