You can also build a deck above them too. Many companies here run those in the laborer foreman trucks, and they build a wooden deck above it leaving about 6" in between the pack rat box (what they call them) and that's where all their shovels, tripods, story poles, etc go. Then the wood deck is...

For me at least the lower ones cup under your butt more since they are attached to your leg loops, making hanging in them far more comfortable. I'm lazy so i like sitting/ hanging a bunch, hence i use my lowers a bunch. They also allow for more twisting movement without adjusting your lanyard...

Get a swing one from bulldog, weld it on, and enjoy swinging it out of the way rather than cranking on it forever trying to get clearance.

Looks fun to play with tho, but i can't see anyone being able to justify 700 bucks for something a rigging plate and a few pulleys could do just as well. Maybe for rescue teams, but that's about it.

Yeah when they are killed by the ash borer they are very brittle, but even in the heavier trunk wood you will often still find good solid stuff, and it's a good tight grained wood, very stable and hard. I think most baseball bats are ash too, the strength is enough to make the smaller handles...

Switch everything to a pintle if you want to only run one. That or the 2 5/16. I have a tri ball and a dedicated pintle, and i need to get another pintle because mine is only 12k or something. If you are trying to drop that kinda coin i would almost be tempted to get a dmi bumper or similar...
