    Sometimes things just have to be downgraded. Worn throw line works for 'bookmarking' trees for rec climbing. I've got another couple lengths worth, at least, on hand.

    Tarps help newbs know where to return tools throughout the day keeping from having a 'yard sale' and leaving things in the drop zone. Helps keep things dry during rainy weather. Mesh tarps don't work for this ;) !

    I infrequently use tarps; tarps and cubes are synergistic, not interchangeable, imo. My longest throwline is 250', shortest around 70'. A lightweight, multipurpose tarp covering native brush can mean not having to cut and clean as much, and in another application helpful around protecting...

    I use a tarp in forest brush and ground that will tangle it. I still use the cube. A tarp is much better than a rope bag for lots of rigging. Easy to move as a unit. Way faster than stacking in a rope bag 30 times.
