In the file is samsons instructions on the half hitch technique. They call it seizing I think that's why I lined them up because that's how the picture is. But I'm going to try your way next

Ruel, using that site you posted, the company will send sample cards with all the sizes of a specific color on them. which I thought was cool and took advantage of the offer and had them send me some samples of a couple different colors. I will post pictures when I get them.

are you using that for whipping ropes? on samson's website they say that whipping thread size should be the size of a thread in the rope. im going to whip tenex, that seems a little big. they also say that nylon is their preferred material but polyester is acceptable. what do you think...
