    I use whatever the recipent has...that way they are more likely to keep it oiled. Loml uses canol oil, so thats what her cutting board gets. Ed

    Sent loml away for 4 days so l could do the counter install....no way in hell was l going to put up with her not having a functional kitchen. Will wrap up my part tomorrow, she's undecided on the backsplash... Ed

    Got the daughters breakfast bar installed, 2nd coat of finish put on, it'll be satin when it dries. Made from red oak, golden oak stain. Pardon the mess, still waiting for the backsplash to get tiled. Ed

    Ripping cottonwood on the ts tonight, nothing like stressed lumber! Holy crap, at least it was going away from the blade, lol. Kind of neat to watch. Ed
