Glen. :) I have done it with my GriGri also. But for descents I'm totally sold on the HH. None of the herky jerky I get when descending with the Gri Gri. . And it is nice to be able to take a seat and get the weight off my feet when waiting for my groundies to get whatever done.

I came up with a new way for me this summer. I choke the tree with a running bowline with my HH srt and grab the climb line and my flipline and flip them together. Makes for an inposition escape line if something goes wrong like a broken hand. Which I almost did this past summer. . For use...

That looks very good. I could make one of them. Very Nice!!! I've got some 8-10 oz latigo that would work good I think with the webbing backer.

Any reason an SMC small rigging plate wouldn't work on my rope bridge?? I had a bit of a problem with my hh not tending very well on part of one tree I did last week. I'm going to give your setup a try on my next tree Randy. It looks pretty dang slick.

WTG Randy. Soon as I can pry some arb gear $$$ out of my wife's lunch hooks I'll order that sample pack from TreeStuff.

Are there any down side's to the Cooper's hitch. . I'll try to find the thread he posted those in. One of my favorite things about the HH is once I learned it it was pretty idiot proof. Not being the sharpest tack in the box I can keep my brain freed up on a bit of RAM for all the...

For me, 300 lbs ( all geared up) the HH w/ BeeLine. 6 or 7 wraps with 7/16 Samson Kern or 1/2" Arbor Plex. It works great. When descending srt I have to apply about twice the force to release the hitch as drt. But that isn't a big deal as drt I don't think I'm applying 10 lbs of force "...

SAMPLER hope this links live. Anyway. I was on Tree Stuff's site and saw this sampler set of 6, 5' long hitch cords. . . Good price on them too. What a great way to try a different cord on the HH. Anyway , I thot so.

Its too bad there isn't enough climbing work for me to stay at it. But it is fun. Either need more people or those great big hardwoods y'all have down south.

Yup ; I finally figured out that if I'm gonna do this I need to get paid for it. It was a 15 hour day with over 300 miles of driving but that's OK . It was awesome to be up trees again. I do need to get a set of Big Bucks for my Bashlins or at least a set of foam pads for under the felt Bashlin...

Well this driller was back up the trees yesterday. . A friend lined up some take downs in Wasilla for me. It made for a long day but the money was OK. . I don't have any pics. I'm very glad I got to be good buddies with my HH last year. Its so simple to use right. I am sure out of shape but...

Mine looks like Risybiz's. I consider it normal wear. It's gonna take me alotta years to wear mine out even if I put 1,000 hours per year on mine, which I probably won't.

Yup. Not sure about the mandatory larger diameter but. The closest I'll ever come to competition is standing on the ground watching.
