Thanks, he's not alone and recovery should be swift. He's booked in to have a small tumor cut from his kidney in 2 weeks (by a good surgeon). The survival rate is very high in this situation, its barely stage one, so fortunate that it was picked up early on

That would be heartbreaking. My old man was diagnosed with cancer this week- he is and always will be my best friend. We can be thankful that he has a very high chance of beating it as it was diagnosed so early. These sorts of things put everything back into perspective.
