I don't think it affects me a bit worse than anyone else. I have been swimming in quite cold water...mountain lakes and the north coast Pacific Ocean. What I do know, and what my post was intending to say, is that I don't enjoy it enough to repeat it much :).

I've done the true sweat lodge super overheated body, straight to a plunge into a hole cut through 10 inches of ice, on a frozen-over lake in the Oregon Cascades high country, deep winter...a 12 mile XC ski in to spend several days in a simple woodstove heated cabin. That was mind...

Me, too. Now I'm happy to hit the cold pool, snow bank, or cold shower once I've heated up to super hot in a sauna, hot springs, or hot tub. That is easy. I've even partaken of a sweat lodge on the shore of a deeply frozen Cascades mountain lake, then been dipped by two friends into a hole...
