Indeed. Almost too handsome. I'd be a bit leery of having a gun like that out and about :).

I never said it wouldn't be an excellent shooting gun...just not pretty. I was into shotgunning in my teens and early 20's at least as much as you are, Stephen. Probably more actually, since I didn't have to work for a living then :). Don't you mean sporting clays?

I know I'm sort of a traditionalist when it comes to shotguns...but that is not a particularly handsome firearm. :P

And... "If ya can't break 99 out of a 100 at 50 yards moving at +40 miles an hour in unknown direction on launch, you aren't all that great at shooting." I dunno, sorta makes shooting a handgun at a static target under no time pressure seem easier. :D

That must be why most of the firearms I own are scatterguns :).

You have inherited some mighty fine firearms, Rich. Really nice. Do right by your father; treat them like gold, shoot them often. :)

Brett and Rich, your Beretta's are cousins to mine...Silver Hawk 12g. side by side. Nice guns.

Roll eyes in extreme...who, in the civilian world 'effing needs that, I ask you? I'll listen, my mind isn't inexorably closed, but I find it hard to think there might be a reasonable answer.

If I didn't have guns I received from my grandfathers, uncles, and my father, I'd be near about gunless :).

Yessir, I can easily visualize all the benefits you point out. Thanks.

It's uglier than sin, Stephen. Old pitted rust bucket of a firearm; I've cleaned and oiled it, kept it so, so that it isn't getting worse...but it'll never get pretty either :). I got it from my father, who got it from his father. My grandfather was a renowned ornithologist, in the 1930's...

I'll need more info to properly answer your query, Stephen...like I said, I have little experience with pistol arcana. Just because I managed to skillfully shoot a hole in the bottom of my boat through the head of a water moccasin, does not mean I know what I'm doing with a pistol, beyond that...

I have a question, from one with a very low level of experience with pistols. I have only a very elderly .32 S&W 5 shot double action wheel pistol. It presents a very smooth body and a small handle. Easy to carry and easy to draw. I see the large stabilizing spur on the handle of the...
