    A couple of vids from some recent work in Wisconsin. Huge, dead, Shagbark Hickory that was climbed, limbed & topped, and a big stick fallen. Crew moved most of the limbs/brush via the mini. A good day!

    Looking at second video, it would appear they were trying to drop it out into the open forest, but the rot/defect (which Mick pointed out, not wedges) caused it to give way almost 90 degrees to the left of the lay as the jack lifted it, causing their 3-car calamity. Still looking like rocket...

    @Mellow Hey Brett, don't feel so inadequate. While it is crazy high up on those west coast conifers, dropping huge tops out of the massive deciduous trees we have here on the East can be just as, if not more exciting. I still remember the first top out of a 90' Red Oak I did into a tight drop...
