I've used an 028 for five or six years, and never once have needed to adjust the carb screws. Good starter too, and a solid runner.

I have the same saw with the all black tag. I have been under the impression that it is earlier than when they decided to add "woodboss', and that is the only difference. Very reliable and hardworking tool, but the 034/036 combination is more powerful and lighter. Not being negative, though...

Thanks Gar. I do need the air filter cover since the 028 I found didn't have it. I stuck on the 038 one but it isn't real compatible and sometimes falls off. I might need the muffler cover plate too, I think mine is about rusted out...might have it confused with another saw on that, will...
