    Understanding wood fiber -theory.

We pulled hard about 180 to lean. I didn’t get fancy with the cuts, just tapered hinge to hold against the secondary lean towards the camera.

Cheers Sean, he trains hard. Has a good fight IQ and listens to his coaches. He started Muay Thai at 4 years old so has a few year of training behind him. But it is his determination that impresses me. Very calm and collected and seems to take it in his stride. Best thing to compliment this...

    Understanding wood fiber -theory.

I've recently found that whizzy/ sizwheels help steer some hard-to-steer branches-- doug-fir.

    Understanding wood fiber -theory.

In guessing that's a thick hinge, pulled hard, giving lots of fiber pull. Triple hinge/ whizzy might work enough without such fiber pull. Maybe not!

Haakon was back in the ring today. First Muay Thai fight in 4 years. Adult C class, fighting a 22 year old guy. Haakon put on a technical masterclass for two rounds and battered the opponent. The opponent quit on his stool and didn’t want to come out for round 3.

Brilliant! Laying a tree down gently

Interesting. I never thought of using no back cut but river birch is extremely strong like that. My usual method is lean it over using a narrow (short: not open) face and then repeat as needed making new felling cuts above the previous one until the trunk is parallel to the ground. Funny how...

Bendy river birch. I had a similar size Norwegian Spruce do that even with a back cut.

    How'd it go today?

The new one are getting worse by the year. Full of gimmicky unnecessary crap that breaks and take things away like grease fittings, dipsticks, keys that don't go dead and strand you etc. etc.

    How'd it go today?

Not many rigs still have grease fittings. Only one (from the factory) on my 11 Ram is in the front driveline CV joint, have to remove the driveline and use a needle to grease it. Hardly anyone knows it so a lot of drivelines get replaced.

    How'd it go today?

We are just weird We like Christmas in our house. Winter is short. We make the most of it. Especially this year, being gone almost a month in October. Texas is a couple hours ahead and we came home on the time change. Like where did 3 hours go? Plus it’s raining and half cool.

    How'd it go today?

Trying to grease front end on my winter drive. 2003 Tahoe. All not bad to get to til I got to the pitman arm and idler. Figured I would change fittings to right angle. Fittings did not want to budge, so I struggled til I got things in the right position so I could loop the hose up and over...
