    How'd it go today?

Well, there's still lots of stuff to video, even if it isn't hitches. Important thing is to stay busy doing /something/.

    How'd it go today?

...to go to John for some professional attention. Greasegun worked great. How do y'all handle excess grease when it gets purged? I was thinking a stick to scrape it off, and put it in an old nut tin or something. Wiping it with rags will leave me ragless in short order, and I have *a lot* of rags.

Jeez, what did you get done to it? Sounds like they aren't in any hurry, Get to it when they feel like like working on something... edit: I was reviewing my pics, and I think I got a year on the engine. It's partly missing, but it looks like an epa year of 2006. That anniversary sticker on the...

    How'd it go today?

I'm just going by what the auction house said. They probably know less than I do, since I have the time to really hunt stuff down. The only markings are the engine ID, which I accidentally found trying to peer under the "hood". I still need to figure out what years they were made. It's an older...

Bummer. Hope that's it for awhile. Pretty soon, it's gonna be getting a little cold for roadside repairs. Went to the chipper to take a look today. Figured out what engine I have. Looks like I got a couple more horses than I thought. It was sold as 27, but from what I can find on the web, it's...

    How'd it go today?

Off work today. Found out I put my underwear on backward last night when I couldn't find the fly this morning. Always something... Got a surprise delivery of grease, and my scheduled delivery of a greasegun came today, so that's all straight. Everything's slowly coming together.

    How'd it go today?

A year or two ago there was a shiny Morbark whole tree eater on the way into work, which I later found out was one of our clients. I'd drive by and think "Oooh... O.O". Probably at least $100k for the machine, and another $100k for a truck to pull it with :^D

I was wondering where he was, and didn't connect his location with the tornado. Hopefully he's just busy working (other people's)cleanup.

Heh... I was gonna ask, but didn't. I don't really remember that.

I couldn't wait, so I poured a tiny bit of Jeppsons. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. I kind of like it. It's not something I'd want to drink a lot of at one time, but maybe an ounce every so often would be good. It's a bitter bomb for sure, but it's reputation overstates the awfulness...

I was at the liquor store this morning buying gifts, and I found this... I bet Kyle and Rajan know what it is. I've been wanting to try it ever since I heard about it, but never thought I'd find it down here. It had a 'staff recommended' card on the shelf. That's some top level trolling there...

    How'd it go today?

Yea, I'd love one that can just about shove a whole tree in, but then you need the infrastructure to support it. I specifically wanted the 6" cause it's easy to deal with using small trucks, and can fit in small areas. This is all still just a hobby for me. I originally got a bug up my ass for...

Spent the day buying stuff for the chipper. It never ends, does it? Got some harborfreight tools cause I want to keep a set of maintenance stuff with the chipper. I might get a toolbox eventually, but right now it's in an old work bag. I'm thinking I can lock the tools and a can of fuel in the...

No real comment cause I think pollarding jobs looks kind of shitty anyway, unless they've been meticulously maintained as such. I'm also not the most qualified to ID a hack job, but that sure as hell looks like a hack job to me.

I don't know if I could do that stig. I think my my back would be screaming at the mid day point. Y'all sing chain gang songs while you're planting? :^D

I love gloves. One of the best parts of cool weather is getting to wear gloves. I'm always damaging my hands one way or another, and even light gloves do a lot to keep them protected.

This looks like the updated version of what I have... https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/battery-tools-accessories/jump-starters/1000-peak-amp-lithium-ion-jump-starter-and-power-bank-59527.html Dunno if the specs are 1:1 with what I have, but it's in the ballpark, and very likely better.

    How'd it go today?

I looked up the mill I saw today on 1858 & 1878 maps. It doesn't really show up on either. There's a grist mill on the 1878 map, but it's on the wrong side of the creek. Kind of hard reconciling roads from modern to old, but I'm pretty certain I'm in the right place. Error, omission, or does the...
