We tree folk all suffer from it, I think. Some worse than others :).

Oh sure, you are right...the machine might be able to perform the next best thing to magic, but you still have to be able to get in the market for that to bear fruit. The payments on equipment like that would eat a fella alive if it sat unworked very much, I suspect.

I dunno Stephen...that much side reach would allow unusual capability in almost any environment.

I'm glad for Carl...he has the mojo to take his biz wherever he wants. But I'm also wondering how much of life he's gonna miss out on, taking his biz wherever he wants. Of course, that's me putting my own set of standards for what makes a pleasurable life onto someone else, and said someone...

Sure, that works for me Jim...how far to the best orthopedic surgeon in Montana, anyway? Oh, and btw, I don't beat anyone up, that takes way more energy than old guys have to waste...I just break one knee, no muss, no fuss, done :D.

Watch it, Jim...or I'll have to drive over there and irreparably damage one of your knees. Us old guys don't have much governor on doing mean things, either :/:. Have to be later in the year though, my Jag doesn't do ice and snow too well :D.

Sorry, Stephen...the stack is so ghey that words fail me in insulting the poor truck as deeply as is called for. Lose that, and she's looking good :).

That's the truth, better value for the homeowner/firewooder. All the same, my old splitting maul (and my old body) still takes care of business so far :).

I'm with Stig, and these other guys...that rig just right. Though something that reaches about 85 feet would be nice, too :|:

Looks good. Got adequate electric service to set up work space and tools properly, no doubt. I know you'd not overlook so basic an item.

I'm over my "made in China" issues...just like I got over my "made in Japan" issues when I was a teen, my "made in Korea" issues when I was in my 20's, and my "made in Taiwan" issues in my 30's. Like any other place that manufactures real things, there are great, good, marginal, and crap...
