What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

A post like that kinda pisses me off, Jim. Why is it that every time an American doesn't eat half a cow and a ton of potatoes fried in enough oil to keep our houses warm for the winter is supposed to be on a diet? Not all of us are on a "trying to join the other 65% obese Americans" eating...

I'll have made all the eggplant dishes known to man, before I'm through. I got to keep on top of them, or they'll conquer the world, eventually. They are already starting to look sideways at Sudetenland and Poland.

My wife is visiting the auld country, so I cook simple. Fried a mess of last years grenn bean and a pound of tofu. Used some HOT oil that my wife made for me. No. I was a bit flappergasted when I encountred it at first in Kreta. But with the Feta cheese, excellent olive oil and local red wine, not to mention the best fried potatoes, I've ever had. I soon got over it. Been using Greek olive oil ever since, but never managed to duplicate those potatoes.

I'd love that, Jim. I read somewhere that lentils were the stable food of the Roman armies. It makes sense, actually, since they keep well and don't take up much room when dry.
