Had this w/other occupants last night; Dirty Rice, Roasted Asparagus and either Waldorf or Garden salad. The salads all disappeared b4 I bothered to grab my listening device:
Son did his cumin infested rub on a sirloin and a boneless shell steak. Paired it with a good green bean, mushrooms, onions and almond dish, and some cornbread from the big box store. Boy does good when he puts his mind to it.
So Junior was splitting drive time with me today, and while I was dealing with work emails, he missed the ramp to stay on I-80 and ended up on I-74 heading SE away from our hotel. As it was in Illinois and dark, and I wasn't too familiar with the area, I didn't notice. I told him to get off at...
Long day today, and skipped lunch, yet all I want is a nice big garden salad, xtra bacon bits and spicy French dressing. Washing it down w/a good beverage (Troegenator)
Just heard from my cousin (night owl who doesn't sleep well). He said most by Šariš, Steiger and Topvar are good. He said if your fortunate enough to find them, almost every beer from ERB and Urpiner would be a treat (especially the darks; he knows me well).
I think Pete (@Raj) is the other Slovak on here. I don't believe I made that comment, as I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of having a Slovak beer, but I can ask my family/friends from there what they recommend. Will try to get back on that ASAP..
Went to this wonderful creamery (Graeter's) for dessert. Some of the most decadent ice cream I've ever had. Tonight's was a mix of Peanut Butter Chip and Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan. Mmmmm!!!
Out in Cincinnati with a cousin, and he took me to Skyline Chili. Greek style chili with an interesting twist (served over spaghetti). I had the 5-Way version, spaghetti, a beef based chili, habanero cheddar cheese, beans & onions. Ridiculously good! 👍👍👍
