Made some homemade tomato soup from fresh tomatoes tonight. Wonderful.

Up in Anchorage for a few days this week for medical checkups etc. Taking advantage of some good restaurants. Picture of some Kodiak Island seared scallops on a bed of sauteed vegetables and rice noodles. Kinda Asian more or less. Very good.

Some grilled Stikine river sockeye salmon tonight. Good but not what it is when fresh and not frozen.

I added a bit of red pepper flakes, sun-dried tomatoes, and parsley to zest it up a bit. Very good.

Odd combo tonight but I made a Tuscan Chickpea Soup and a Lemon Chicken Picatta. One meat based the other not.

Two course meal tonight. First was a roasted vegetable squash soup and the second was some grilled sockeye salmon. Kale Ceasar salad for the side.

Yeah, the one I used doesn't have shrimp or fish listed.
