Crabbing is a physically a hard fishery... commercial pots are heavy and lifting them takes a toll on the body.

There's a nice crabbing spot with a good bottom a couple of miles away...5 min boat ride. I do have a pot puller which makes it a lot easier.
Lots of good crabbing nearby. The local commercial fleet in town will catch a million pounds on a good year.
We can run up to 10 Dungeness pots I believe for sport fishing. I only run 3 and catch all that I want to deal with.

Yeah, that's about what mine looked like... they are tasty but not stellar looking without other sides to make it look better. Subsistence caught and canned sockeye for the win here.
