After 4 hours in a maple removing limbs overhanging a neighbours house. Pleased and hopefull it will last and keep it's shape. (the tether)

First climb, worked really well, stayed put. The webbing was sewn on while the leather was in this U shape. Kinda keeps it from laying flat. As well there is a thin strip of metal inside.

I've been lucky with being able to get a high suitable PSP with my SRT work so far, I have in my on site bag a small bag with 70ft allgear neolite with pinto, prusik and biners. If Im working I'd just call for it up. Used to use it all the time DdRT, not so much now. Just swing over to a codom...

Tail end climb line DdRT up there. I understand the concern for tight crotches, midline knot and clip HH biner into it sometimes works for me, well timed whip and pull.

that leather with webbing sewn together works the best for me, have to make another one for a second HH, gonna put stiff wire in it to keep it more u shaped. Tried rubber tubing on one side of treestuff strap didn't work as well.

Nice. Wish I could get jobs like that, around here people will have 20ft broken tops and not interested in getting them down.

Hmmm, if I sew a big wide tie directly to the shirt it could be made into a pocket, may be to hold a knee ascender..... :/:

that's funny, I find a chest harness feels restrictive, drives me nuts. Thank goodness we have options. :D

I usually use a webbing neck loop to tend the HH, just for chits and giggles I sewn a neck loop right on my shirt, noticably more comfortable, see how long it will last.

I don't know if I've missed it, but has it been considered to make a HH a bit more narrower for specifically only a 11.5mm rope?

Had a small work climb on the 11.5mm cherry bomb with the HH, in a maple. Took about 5 times loaded up to get the 3/8 beeline to tighten up, no big deal expected that, waiting for some 8mm armourprus from Treestuff. Worked well, kept round, tended real good, grabbed instantly and held no...

Neat. I've thought it would be cool if a slightly wider oval beaner was on the market, for just such a application.

The Cherry bomb is a nice offering from Allgear. Didn't flatten out that much, somewhere on par with vortex. Stock beeline on the HH made the prussik feel huge, seemed to need an extra wrap on the new rope, but it worked just as responsive as I'm used to on the vortex. We'll see how it breaks in.

I went and purchased just 120ft of the cherry bomb, not a bad price for my area. I'll finish up an eye splice tomorrow and see how it performs. My thoughts are if I'm in a taller or wider spreading tree then I can link my climb lines together to get the length, but in reality I'm thinking my...

Anyone use the HH with the new cherrybomb from allgear? I'm thinking I might pick up a 100ft or so when I go to Cutter's choice in London, $1.14/ft...may be I can convince them to give me a little break....

Always climb with a foot ascender and neck loop. Sit/stand on short ascents. I have a DMM ascender with a foot loop and hand loop on longer ascents (rope walking set up, haven't found suitable or long lasting bungee cord up here). It's handy to have when I want to set up a quick 3:1 system...
