    How'd it go today?

Bummer about the metal Dave. I'd consider locust *highly* likely to have metal. Where they grow, and the way they grow encourages fence pieces, and miscellaneous junk to end up inside.

Did a short job, then worked on the pond. Chipper's still running great, but a bunch of vines got wrapped around the yoke, and the feedwheel wouldn't come all the way down for small stuff. I'm looking at it thinking it might clear itself with use, and then I thought otherwise. Stuff's never that...

How to you know when you're done? Looks like the kind of place you find as many rocks as you like.

That is a cool graft on that holly. If I were younger, it would be fun making bizarro trees by grafting them into weird shapes. Too long for a payoff to start now.

Helped Mike remove a couple hangers from a sawtooth oak on a job we did earlier this year. It wasn't much to do, but he had the trailer hooked up, and everything was ready to go, so he gave me a call. I didn't do much. Just picked up debris, and sent tools up to him. Windy as hell. I've seen...

I like the way that whole thing's framed, and the moon(?) just out frame makes the trees look cool.

Guy across the street has a dragster. I think he does anyway. Haven't heard it run in awhile. Camaro based, and it rattles the house when he runs it.

Hey! I look every day, but I still come home to no 500I on the porch! :^P

    How'd it go today?

Did a couple small jobs, ate lunch, then got some firewood. I was debating between pond work and firewood, and the wood won out. I had some trash in the truck, and a dumpster was on the way to the wood. It was too wet to get back to my cherry spot, so I split some oak and brought it home. I...

    I need to figure out why I shouldn't buy a 7310. @Treeaddict, it might be a good time to get a 2511...

Welcome back! Better fruit flies than miller moths. Get those bastards and you'll have them damned near forever.

Forgot to mention it. I was on a job yesterday that was a new house down a fairly long panhandle drive through the woods, and the guy put these ugly ass lightpoles in the whole way, and around the yard of the house... Does that look like shit, or what?! I bet they're super cold lights also...

BTW Mike, those snowdrops and daffodils indicate there was a house site close by. If it hasn't been paved over or something, you might be able to find bits of the old foundation. Fun to look around sites like that, and wonder what people lived there, and what their lives were like :^)

I missed a couple posts back there. That's happened a couple times recently. Not sure what's going on, but I think I might be picking my phone up middle of night when I'm in bed, make a quick scroll, feel too tired to really engage, and the software sets my last viewed post below what I've seen...

    How'd it go today?

New igniter's installed, and it's a whole new chipper. W00t! Now that I have a hotrod chipper with my hotrod sparkplugs, I'm thinking some flame graphics for the hood, a pair of Cragar SS, an 8ball throttle lever, and a raccoon tail on the chute. Question... Do you think the raccoon tail's too...

I can send you that one if you like. I don't need it. I'd have to inspect it to be sure it's good enough, but it's yours if you want it.

Hauled some spruce logs to the backyard in the jetsled. They've been in the driveway since I brought them back from the dead spruce job Mike and I worked on. I'd have used the wheelbarrow, but that would've cut deep grooves in the squishy ground. I built Spot's sunview/wind shelter. It's too...
