I've never run a crane. Guess I was thinking it operated atleast somewhat like a yarder? While it was balanced, sort of, seemed like you could've been cabling out for all it was worth. I don't know if booming down would've helped at all too? Seems maybe not?

It looked to me like the truck didn't even really try to pull until the tree was already lost. It also looked like it was the stretchy rope that lost it for them(atleast Of factors that can be seen). The truck just sat there and the rope stretched back enough to lose the tree is what I saw.

It looked like it surprised a few people. That was some gnarly cutting/rigging. Looked like zero concern for ppe, I understand that's normal some places. Shaking boy seemed overly excited and the camera man seemed like he had it all figured out and was wanting to let everyone know by the end.
Wow. That guy who took the vid seems like a real gem too. Must be a sizeable company. Seemed like there were endless guys standing around shaking or was that twitching. Gong show.
I haven't seen a tree scaffolded but I've seen a few crazy ladder scenes. Lotta logging heritage round here, gotta puff the chest and cut it down yourself. I've found it more with the old timers myself. The new gen logger packs a big lunch, cause the day can get long in that cab.
