Went in late today. Just cause. I got up a little late and didn't feel like rushing. I spend enough time in the office waiting on the boss, so he can wait on me for a change. Pretty shit day. I'm just gonna list bullet points. Otherwise, it'll be paragraphs... Cold and windy as shit. Couldn't...

Worked on a little property job up north, and that put me a few minutes away from corn free gas, so I took two 5G containers with me. I'm a little overstocked now; about 17G, but I suspect gas prices are gonna increase above and beyond summer inflation, so I wanted to get in now. Added Stabil...

Quaker had a limited edition apple cheddar rosemary instant oatmeal that was fantastic, so of course it went away. It was a contest or something from people's home recipes, and that was the winner. I'd love to get it again to study closer, so I could try to make it myself. Or they could get...

People without money get frigged over in just about every way. A little short on money for your service? Well frig you, we're gonna charge you even more! Or you might go down to payday loan service(Loan shark). You get the money, but it comes with a hole that's hard to get out of, and usually...

I forget how I cook rolled oats. I think I used quick oats, but cooked them per minute oat instructions. Left the oats chewier which I prefer. Now, I pretty much only make steel cut oats. Half cup of oats, and 1.5 cups water. The water is .5C short of published directions. Leaves the oats...

Helped Mike on a walnut removal today. Wasn't much of a tree, but there was a lot of hassle for him. *Tons* of vines, in wires, over two fences, over a shed, and some of it dead. He did good job with it. I only have a before shot he sent me. I didn't take any pics myself.

That tree's pretty cool. You could cut through the stem, and it would hardly move an inch.

That webpage is fantastic! No bullshit, just stuff you want to see. I miss the old web. It usually wasn't as pretty, but it succeeded in the core function of efficiently transmitting information.

    How'd it go today?

I have a hard time remembering when things happened. I tend to lump things in large blocks. A lot of things happened when I was 6, 12, 25, and "a few years ago". "A few years ago" is getting particularly bad. Time goes by faster than I notice. I'll think something happened a couple years ago...

Maybe only three years since he noticed. Oaks hold up pretty well for awhile, so if you aren't paying attention, neighboring greenery can make it look better in season, and off season, it doesn't have leaves anyway.

≤16" I enjoy the break filing on site. 20" is fine, especially if I'm not constantly sharpening. 24" I'm starting to get annoyed. 36", and it's "FFS!", and it tends to be a little sloppy. I sharpen it well enough to get chips, but I'm not putting much time into it.

    How'd it go today?

I don't think it's terribly outrageous to design. I don't remember every detail, but you could even do optical scanning so you're taking the minimum necessary off each tooth. The problem is scale. While it's quite feasible to make, there isn't a ton of demand for chain grinders. Hard to figure...
